CAMP INFO Due to a long playoff run combined with renovations to the Civic Centre, the Kimberley Dynamiters are unable to hold a Spring Camp this year. However, we will be having a Prospect ID Camp later in the summer. Any players interested in participating in this camp can notify Head Coach Derek Stuart at email@example.com. Further details about the ID Camp will follow.
Another season has come to an end. What was a "rebuild year" as we were told over and over certainly didn't seem that way. We did welcome new Head Coach Derek Stuart to the organization and he had a huge recruiting job at the beginning of the year, but the team he brought together was anything but a rebuild team as the saying goes. The coaching staff – Derek, Jeff, Byron, Todd, Carson & Jason did an amazing job with the 2016-2017 team. Thank you coaches for all your time and dedication to the team!
The season brought lots of movement of players throughout the year but the final team earned the community support, which showed with great attendance all year and into playoffs to cheer the team on. These players worked hard to keep our Dynamiter Hockey tradition going and living up to the expectation that our town had for them. Thank you for playing your game for us to enjoy. To our 20 year olds moving on, Hozjan, Colapaolo and Lassiter – best of luck on your future endeavors.
Our volunteers work endlessly on game days and many on non-games day as well making sure everything is in place for the team and the fans. There are too many to list as it takes a small army to have this organization run so successful. Thank you to all of you volunteers for giving us your valuable time and energy; you are the working backbone to our organization.
Sponsors are financial backbone for our organization – without them we wouldn't be able to provide the team with the amenities needed, thus not provide the quality hockey we have come to love. Thank you to all our amazing sponsors.
Thank you to all our fans for your support with over 18,800 in attendance this past season. Our hometown pride gives the players that extra boost when they play in our rink. Makes it easy for us to say best fans in the KIJHL!!
The parents that encouraged and supported their sons to be part of the Kimberley Dynamiters – we can’t thank you enough for sharing them with us and raising them to be great community ambassadors in our town. Around town you would always hear talks about what great guys the Kimberley Dynamiters are.
It is always hard to see the season end after 7 months of nothing but hockey for many of us. Lots will still be happening behind the scenes with the organization with camps and prepping for the next season. Thank you everyone for the amazing year.
