Grizzlies defeat the Nitros 3 - 2
The Kimberley Dynamiters dropped a hard fought match to the KIJHL's top club 3 - 2 at the Kimberley Civic Centre on Friday night. The under staffed Nitros battled hard and at one point led the game 2 - 1 over the visitors.
Without their top scorer and catain Corey Allen, plus gritty winger Mason Spear, the Dynamiters gave the front running Grizzlies all they could handle. Scoring for the Nitros were former Revelstoke Grizzly Brett Richards who put a laser beam slap shoy over the shoulder of goaltender Andrew Parent in the second period and Trevor Grier who potted a shot from the point early in the second frame as well.
Replying for the Grizzlies were Faiz Kahn, Reid Blinkhorn and Caleb Lister.
Tory Caldwell was outstanding in the Nitro net making 29 saves on the night. Parent stopped 9 on the night.
Cranbrook Midget ICE affliated players Jordan Revie, Connor Kutzner and Frank Abbott played very well for the Dynamiters in a relief roll against a very tough team.

Dynamiter Fan Bus – Destination Fernie!The Kimberley Dynamiters and Sun City Coachlines have teamed up to present the Nitros "Fan Bus".The "Fan Bus" gives fans an opportunity to cheer on the Dynamiters as they kick off a home and home series with the Ghostriders in Fernie on Monday, December 28th. This is a great opportunity for fans to take in a home and home series versus one of our biggest rivals.
Cost is $35 and includes transportation to and from Fernie, plus your ticket to the game. The Bus will leave the Civic Centre at 5:00 p.m., Wal Mart Cranbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 28th and return right after the game. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
