Top Scorer                             #10 Matt Foster

Matt led the Dynamiters with 40 goals and 28 assists for 68 points in 50 games. Matt also had 8 powerplay goals and 5 game winners.

 

Most Improved                      #92 Taylor McDowell

Taylor isn’t the biggest player on the ice, but the former Cranbrook Midget ICE turned heads at training camp and continued to gain confidence and improve as a player as the season went on. Taylor finished the season with 7 goals and 11 assists.

 

Scholastic Award                  #22 Mike Nelson

Mike is a full time student at the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook studying Human Kinetics. He maintained a high GPA while still being at the rink and off ice training up to six days a week during the season.

 

Most Inspirational                 #30 Tory Caldwell

A dedicated team member on an off the ice.  Tory led our team with big saves in games all season both at home and on the road. Never afraid of adversity, Tory would always have the right thing to say in the room to lead the players.

 

Most Sportsmanlike              #55 J.T. Ward

Sportsmanship is not necessarily the player with the fewest penalty minutes. J.T.’s aggressive style and making every effort to finish checks while playing with a bit of an edge was recognized by many coaches. J.T. is known for his clean tough style by his team-mates and opponents alike.

 

Best Defenseman                   #27 Corson Johnstone

Corson stepped up and led a defence corps that was one of the top 5 or 6 in the KIJHL. His tough but conservative style was recognized by other coaches and other players, a great quality for a 17 year defenseman. He was often called upon to play against the top forwards from each team.

 

Rookie of the Year                #27 Corson Johnstone

Corson came to camp fit and ready to play. His solid effort day in and day out was clearly the top of his class. He improved daily and was committed to becoming a better player at his position.

 

Coaches Award                    #55  J.T. Ward

J.T. is a great leader and mentor to his team-mates. J.T.’s leadership and commitment on and off the ice was a huge part of the success we enjoyed this season. He played both forward and defence and was called upon to perform in tough situations. He was a leader in off ice training and a great mentor to the younger players.

 

Most Valuable Player              #10 Matt Foster

Matt’s timely goals and great effort gave the Nitros a chance to win every night. Matt played in all situations both on the powerplay and penalty killing. And often was called upon to double shift when our club faced adversity. Matt's 40 goals in the KIJHL is a great accomplishment.

Volunteer of the Year              Neil Rye

Neil is a valuable member of the Kimberley Dynamiters. As dressing room assistant, Neil is responsible for equipment, bench and dressing room duties at home and on the road. His attention to detail is impeccable and truly appreciated by the coaching staff and players.

The Kimberley Dynamiters wish to thank the Management and staff of the Panda Garden for an excellent evening.

And once again we wish to pass on our appreciation to all of the volunteers who work so tirelessly to put on a great event and provide an opportunity for our players and an exciting product for our fans.

To order your homemade Turkey Pie, please contact the Dynamiters Office at 250 427 1931. Please leave your contact information and we'll get back to right away.

The Dynamiters accept VISA, Mastercard, Debit, Cash and Cheques.

Your Turkey Pie Orders must be submitted by March 17th.

All orders will be ready for pick-up at the Civic Centre on March 21st from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Deliveries will be made for special circumstances.
