Kimberley – The familiar dulcet tones of Bob McWhinnie, doing his first announcing gig in over a year, filled the air around Centennial Hall on Sunday at noon, as runners, walkers and bikers prepared to head out on the annual Terry Fox Run.
McWhinnie said he was enjoying some quality bonus time on these beautiful September days and felt he had to come out and lend a hand because of what the Terry Fox Foundation has meant for so many people with cancer. He also added that despite budget woes and everything else, “Thank God for the Canadian health care system.”
